Collection: Microphones

Ceiling, table, boundary, gooseneck and beamforming array microphones from Biamp, Sennheiser, AISPEECH, ClearOne, Yealink and others.

Audio is what people complain about

Almost every complaint about a new meeting room is an audio complaint, not a picture complaint. A room can have an excellent panel and still fail its users if the far end cannot follow the conversation. Regional offices and government buildings are frequently reverberant — hard floors, glass, long tables, high ceilings — which is exactly where microphone choice stops being a detail.

Choosing a type

Table and boundary microphones are closest to the talker and give the best intelligibility for the money. They need cable to the table, and they are visible.

Ceiling microphones keep the table clear and look better, which is why executives ask for them, but they sit further from the talker and need more processing to achieve the same result. They are a design choice that costs audio quality and budget.

Beamforming arrays steer toward whoever is speaking and suit rooms where people move or seating changes. They cost more and need commissioning.

The specification needs the room

Dimensions, ceiling height, seat count and surfaces determine the microphone count and placement. A product list is not a specification — send the room and we will design it.

Conference, Ceiling & Wireless Microphones for GCC & Africa

Microphones are the foundation of good remote and in-room audio, ensuring speakers are heard clearly whether across a boardroom table or a large lecture hall. Tabletop and boundary microphones suit meeting rooms, ceiling array microphones keep tables clutter-free, and wireless handheld or lapel systems give presenters freedom to move during events.

To choose the right microphones, map the pickup to the room: count participants and seating distances, then select cardioid, omnidirectional or beamforming coverage accordingly. For hybrid meetings, confirm compatibility with Microsoft Teams and Zoom, and check connectivity such as USB, analogue or networked audio, plus any need for echo cancellation and a compatible processor or DSP. Ceiling arrays call for careful placement, while wireless systems need attention to frequency management and battery life.

Common deployments include corporate boardrooms, university lecture theatres, training rooms, council chambers and event spaces, where reliable voice capture keeps remote participants engaged and recordings usable. Matching microphones to the room's acoustics reduces echo and dropouts that frustrate hybrid calls.

We supply and deliver microphones across the GCC and Africa, serving Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Jeddah, Doha, Kuwait, Muscat, Manama, Lagos, Nairobi, Accra, Johannesburg and Cairo, with some systems imported to order. Hardware is covered by the manufacturer's OEM warranty with our supplier assistance. Request a quote for your venue.
