Above roughly 85 inches, standard wall mounts start to run out of everything at once: load rating, VESA pattern, and the physical width to reach the fixing points on the back of the panel. Two things separate it from a normal tilt bracket. The tilt range is plus 15 to minus 15 degrees rather than the usual ten, which is what a 100-inch panel needs when it is hung high in an auditorium or ballroom. And the arms carry lateral shift brackets, so once the plate is bolted to the studs the whole display can be slid left or right to centre it on the wall - you are no longer stuck with wherever the timber happened to be. 3. What is lateral shift and why does it matter?
The wall plate has to land on structure, and structure is rarely in the middle of the wall. Lateral shift brackets let you slide the mounted display sideways after the plate is bolted down, so the screen ends up centred on the room rather than centred on a stud. On a 100-inch panel that offset would otherwise be very visible.
4. Why 15 degrees of tilt instead of 10?
Big screens usually go high, and the higher the panel the steeper the angle needed to point it at the audience. Fifteen degrees keeps a top-row viewer in a lecture theatre or ballroom looking at the image rather than at a reflection of the lighting rig. The adjustment is toolless.
5. Is it safe for a very heavy panel?
It is UL approved and strength tested to four times its 100 kg rating, built from 2 mm steel with a wide, deep bracket that spreads load across two studs. Plan a two-person lift and verify the wall structure before installation - at this size the wall, not the bracket, is the variable.
